Iwan Teifion Davies répétiteur
Iwan's time at NOS is generously supported by the Richard Carne Charitable Trust and the Help Musicians UK Harrison Award.
Born in Pembrokeshire, Iwan Teifion Davies read English Literature at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, followed by studies as a répétiteur at the GSMD, supported by the Headley Trust, a Help Musicians UK Postgraduate Award, and the Elizabeth Evans Trust. He has worked on productions of Wolf-Ferrari’s Le donne curiose and Martinů’s Alexandre Bis at the GSMD, as well as a variety of opera scenes and the premieres of new works including Door, Harbour and Watch Me. He has also worked on productions of Dido and Aeneas, Carmen, Figaro’s Wedding and The Magic Flute for Opera Cocktail, and Die Fledermaus and La traviata for Focus Opera. In the summer of 2016, he was Music Director for Opera Loki’s production of Così fan tutte. In theatre, Iwan has worked on productions of Chicago, Rent, Annie and The Sound of Music at the Curve Theatre, Leicester as well as coaching and accompanying at drama schools including Guildford School of Acting, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and London School of Musical Theatre.
