The Wanamaker Playhouse (the new candlelit Jacobean theatre at Shakespeare’s Globe) is staging its first opera, and NOS alumni feature heavily.
The Royal Opera House production of Francesco Cavalli’s little-seen L’Ormindo is directed by Kaspar Holten. Of the principal cast of nine, three are recent NOS alumni: Ed Lyon (tenor, 2005) performs as Amidas, Susanna Hurrell (soprano, 2012) as Erisbe, and Rachel Kelly (mezzo, 2013) appears in the role of Mirinda.
The NOS blog receives contributions from Young Artists, Staff, Alumni and associated organisations. If you would like to contribute please email.
