The
National Opera Studio receives an Arts Council England: London
grant which comprises about 32% of the income needed to run
the NOS and so a significant amount of its finance each year
comes from private sources. In addition to its own running costs,
the Studio seeks to help young musicians obtain the support
they need to take part in its programme.
For
every £1 we receive from the Arts Council, a further £3.50
has to be raised from other sources as charitable donations. A
total of £350,000 has to be raised each year to continue
the important training of talented young artists. The NOS is very
grateful for support from both individual and corporate donations.
