Eamonn
Mulhall tenor
Eamonn was
born in Wexford and read Music and French at University College Dublin.
He studied singing in Dublin with Mary Brennan and at the RCM with Ryland
Davies. Study awards have included a Wingate Trust scholarship, Madeleine
Finden Memorial Competition – first prize 2003, Belfast Classical
Music Bursary and Irish Arts Council awards.
Sacred
repertoire includes Puccini Messa di Gloria (RTÉ Concert Orchestra),
Handel Messiah (Irish Baroque Orchestra), Mozart Requiem and Mass in
C minor (NCH Dublin), Haydn Nelson Mass (Trinity College Dublin), Stainer
The Crucifixion, Bach Easter Oratorio, St. John Passion, B minor Mass
and numerous Bach cantatas (Orchestra of St. Cecilia, Dublin).
Operatic
roles include Massimo Ezio (London Handel Festival), L'aumônier
Les Dialogues des Carmélites (RCM), Dr. Blind Die Fledermaus
(Clonter Opera), Soldier The Emperor of Atlantis (Opera Theatre Company),
Ferrando and Don Ottavio in Opera Ireland mini productions of Così
fan tutte and Don Giovanni, and Sailor Dido and Aeneas (Irish Chamber
Orchestra).
He has
given lieder and song recitals at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Bank of
Ireland Arts Centre, Elgar Society of Great Britain and at Kortenberg
Abbey, Belgium.
Eamonn's
NOS studies were supported by the Derek Butler Trust, Serena Fenwick
and awards from The Arts Council (Ireland) and Wexford Co Council.
