Mezzo Anna has appeared with numerous choral societies including The Bach Choir, Holst Singers and The Philharmonia Chorus. In November 2003 she was the mezzo-soprano soloist in the Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall under David Wilcocks. She performed her first Angel/The Dream of Gerontius in Exeter Cathedral with Adrian Thompson and Michael George in May 04. She has appeared in master-classes with Graham Johnson, Emma Kirkby, David Willcocks and Malcolm Martineau. Recital work includes a recital of Brahms, Wolf and Hahn for the New London Orchestra series and Die schöne Magelone at Hampstead Parish Church, both with pianist Jonathan Beatty. Operatic roles include Smeraldina/The Little Green Swallow by Jonathan Dove (GSMD), Concepçion/L’Heure espagnole, the title role in Mignon by A Thomas, Marcellina/The Marriage of Figaro at the Guildhall and Juno/Semele for British Youth Opera at the QEH in September ’04. In opera scenes Romeo/I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Juno/Semele, Nancy/Albert Herring, Kate/Owen Wingrave, Sifare/Mitridate and Rimsky-Korsakov's The Snow Maiden (Spring). Anna sang with the Glyndebourne Festival Chorus in 2002 and 2003 and covered the role of Greek Woman in Idomeneo in 2003. Anna is the recipient of many awards including the Clonter Opera Prize 2005 and the Joaninha Trust Award. Most recently she was the winner of the 50th Anniversary Kathleen Ferrier Competition 2005 and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama Gold Medal. She was accompanied on both occasions by pianist Jonathan Beatty. Future engagements include Dorabella for British Youth Opera and Samling Foundation Masterclasses with Thomas Allen and Felicity Palmer. She will join the National Opera Studio in September.
