He has also worked with members of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Mahogany Opera, the Southampton Philharmonia, Chelsea Opera Group, the Elgar Chamber Orchestra and Chroma.
He has acted as Assistant Conductor for Clonter Opera and, most recently, Iford Arts, conducting their first-ever Cover Concert and Schools' Show in performances of Hänsel und Gretel. In September 2011 he joins the ENO as a member of the on-stage ensemble for Weinberger’s The Passenger.
Operas include, Otello, La Traviata, Carmen, La Serva Padrona, Le Nozze di Figaro, Cosi Fan Tutte, The Bear, Ariadne auf Naxos, Hänsel und Gretel, L’Assedio di Calais (Donizetti), Albert Herring and La Cenerentola.
Paul has also shadowed Roger Norrington, Antonio Pappano (Wozzeck), Mark Elder (La Cenerentola) and Vladmir Jurowski (Love and Other Demons).
His studies are generously supported by the Sir Henry Richardson Scholarship administered by the Musicians’ Benevolent Fund, the John Wates’ Charitable Trust and further private sponsors.
