Andee-Louise Hypolite Mezzo Soprano 

 
Andee-Louise Hypolite mezzo

Born in London, Andee-Louise achieved at First Class Honours B.Mus. at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She subsequently studied at the Alexander Gibson Opera School with Patricia MacMahon on the M.Mus. Advanced Opera Course.

She has sung diverse solo and ensemble repertoire, including Bach, Handel, Brahms, Chausson, Ravel, Britten, Tippett and Berio. In concert, she has performed Berio's Folk Songs, Ravel's Chansons madecasses, Brahm's Four Serious Songs, and Elgar's Sea Pictures, and she has worked with Scottish Ballet singing Mahler's Ruckert Lieder.

Her oratorio repertoire includes Bach's St. Matthew Passion and Christmas Oratorio, Handel's Messiah and Belshazzar, Vivaldi's Gloria, Mozart's Requiem and Mass in C Minor, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius, and Verdi's Requiem.

At the RSAMD, her operatic roles included Marchioness Clarice, La Pietra del Paragone; Mrs Herring, Albert Herring, and Mercedes, Carmen. She also covered the roles of Berta, The Barber of Seville, for British Youth Opera. During 2000, she sang the roles of Dorabella, Così fan tutte, and Mrs Grose, The Turn of the Screw.

She has taken part in several masterclasses, including those taken by Benjamin Luxon, Diane Forlano, Roger Vignoles, John Streets, Martin Isepp, Graham Johnson and Sir Thomas Allen.

Andee-Louise completed the 2000/2001 course at the National Opera Studio, supported by The Peter Stuyvesant Foundation, The Friends of Covent Garden and the Amici di Verdi.
