Born in Denmark,
Trine has studied at the conservatory in Copenhagen and at the Royal Academy
Opera School, studying with Diane Forlano and Jonathan Papp. She has recently
completed her studies on the 2002/03 course at the National Opera Studio.
Operatic roles include Dido, Veronique (Bizet: Le Docteur Miracle),
Teodata (Handel: Flavio), L’Enfant (Ravel: L’Enfant
et les sortileges), Meg Page (Verdi: Falstaff), and Cherubino
with British Youth Opera.
Recent concert appearances include Mendelssohn’s Elijah,
Beethoven’s Mass in C, Bach’s Magnificat,
Vivaldi’s Gloria and Mozart’s Requiem in
St Martin-in-the-fields. She regularly gives recitals for music societies
throughout the UK and has appeared in the Linbury Studio’s Lunchtime
Recital series at Covent Garden.
Masterclasses include Anthony Rolfe Johnson and Sir Thomas Allen at the
Britten-Pears School in Aldeburgh, and Trine is also a Samling Foundation
scholar. She has received the Van Hauen Scholarship and several other
Danish Scholarships and bursaries, and the Lucille Graham Award at the
Royal Academy of Music. Her NOS studies were supported by the D'Oyly Carte
Charitable Trust and the Sybil Tutton Charitable Trust.
