Natalie
graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a post-graduate
Diploma in Repetiteur Studies. She was the repetiteur for the triple bill: L'enfant prodigue, Debussy, Le portrait de Manon and La
Navarraise, Massenet; The Snowmaiden; and the world and Australian
premieres of Going into the Shadows by Andrew Schultz. Natalie was
granted a scholarship by the Music Advancement Foundation, Australia, for
her studies.
Natalie
also holds a Graduate Diploma of Music and Bachelor of Music Education
from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Her studies included piano,
piano accompaniment and vocal training. She was the first recipient
of the Millie Neal Scholarship in Accompaniment, and was awarded
the Ryder-Phillips Scholarship for a final year student whilst completing
her studies. Natalie was the repetiteur for a combined Conservatorium
and Opera Australia production of The Magic Flute, and her
performing experience in Australia includes radio broadcasts (2MBS,
Sydney), recitals and piano accompaniment work for auditions and
competitions. She is a Conservatorium Accredited Accompanist and
was the repetiteur for the 1999 and 2000 Sydney Opera Masterclasses.
Natalie tutored piano, voice, and conducted a vocal ensemble at
the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, Sydney, and was
regularly employed as a vocal coach.
Natalie
has undertaken intensive Italian language study at the Universita
per stranieri, Siena, and over the past year has performed recitals
in England, Northern Ireland, France and the Middle East. She recently
completed the 2001/2002 course at the National Opera Studio, supported
by The Friends of Covent Garden, The Ian Potter Cultural Trust,
Australia, and The Sybil Tutton Charitable Trust.
