The NOS depends on the generosity of individuals to help fund many areas of its work. By remembering the NOS when making your will you will have a direct and lasting effect on the future of opera singers, ensuring that they receive the highest level of training to work on the operatic stage, in Britain and beyond.

You can specify how you would like the money to be spent by choosing one of the following areas:

• Scholarship for talented artists
• Performance opportunities for trainees to work with distinguished conductors and directors
• Providing specialist opera coaching
• Masterclasses led by eminent professional musicians
• Refurbishment and maintenance of teaching rooms

Alternatively, a non-specific bequest can be made, allowing the NOS to use the funds whenever the need is greatest at the time.

The NOS is a registered charity, therefore a bequest is free from Inheritance tax as the gift is deducted from the total net value of your estate when assessing tax liability.
