About our programmes

Working closely with our partner opera companies, we take the utmost care to select up to 12 singers and four repetiteurs with the greatest potential and provide them with a nine-month programme that includes, at its heart, exposure to a great range the skills needed to be an opera singer working at the highest level.

There is no upper age limit for applying to the NOS. However, applicants are reminded that the Young Artists' Programme is very intensive and is intended to benefit extremely gifted singers and repetiteurs who are at the beginning of their professional operatic careers. We accept applications from singers and repetiteurs from around the world.  Our training is completely free, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
