Elizabeth’s time at the Studio is generously supported by the Eileen Goddard memorial Bursary from the Amar-Franses and Foster-Jenkins Trust and a Glyndebourne New Generation Programme Young Artist Development Award.
Elizabeth Lynch is a graduate of the GSMD, where she was awarded the Silk Street Award for Opera, the Chartered Surveyors audience award for singing, a Concert Recital Diploma for outstanding performance in opera and a fellowship of the School. She is also a former Concordia Artist, a former member of the Glyndebourne Festival Chorus, was an Alverez Young Artist at Garsington Opera.
Elizabeth’s operatic highlights have included: Ankhesenpaaten Akhnaten (ENO), cover Dorothée Cendrillon (Glyndebourne Festival), Opera Singer La traviata: Behind the Curtain (Glyndebourne on Tour), Nireno Giulio Cesare (Bury Court Opera), cover Anna Silver Birch, Cretan Woman Idomeneo, Cherubino Le nozze di Figaro (all Garsington Opera), Sandman and cover Hansel Hansel and Gretel (Clonter Opera).
Solo concert highlights have included Elgar’s Music Makers at The Barbican Hall, a solo recital at the Wigmore Hall as a Purcell Recital Prize winner, Frauenliebe und Leben with Graham Johnson at the Guildhall School and the world premiere of Lorin Maazel’s The Empty Pot with the LSO.
Elizabeth will be playing the role of Un Pâtre in Virtual Opera’s inaugural production of L'enfant et les sortilèges this autumn and is hugely excited to be making an acting and European debut as Cordelia in Keith Warner’s King Lear next season.
