Led by acclaimed coach Lada Valešová, these sessions will help you develop confidence in singing in Russian and Czech through a practical exploration of pronunciation, diction and style. This workshop focuses on the distinctive characteristics of both languages, helping singers communicate text with greater clarity and authenticity while applying new techniques directly to their repertoire.
Topics covered
- Master the subtleties of Russian and Czech pronunciation for singing
- Understand the stylistic and phonetic differences between the two languages
- Apply diction techniques directly to your repertoire
- Enhance clarity, expression and confidence in performance
Whether you are preparing for auditions, operatic roles, recitals, or concert work, this workshop provides expert guidance to elevate both your linguistic and musical interpretation.
Participants are encouraged to bring one Russian and one Czech piece and may be offered a chance to work on their piece during the sessions. However, there is no guarantee that everyone will have the opportunity to sing, due to the structure of the day. If you prefer not to sing, you will still benefit greatly from observing other participants and from the coaching provided by the course leaders.
