A Spring Soiree

Join internationally acclaimed NOS alums tenor David Butt Philip and soprano Jennifer Davis for a special evening with the National Opera Studio.

The evening’s highlight is a performance of the final scene of Act 1 of Wagner’s Die Walküre, beginning with Winterstürme, followed by Du bist der Lenz, and building to the passionate close of the act. David Butt Philip and Jennifer Davis perform the principal roles in this iconic scene, bringing to life one of opera’s most intense and lyrical dramatic encounters.

Alongside this centrepiece performance, the programme also includes a small number of additional operatic scenes, in which David Butt Philip and Jennifer Davis will be joined on stage by some of the Studio’s current Young Artists.

Prior to the performance, David Butt Philip will offer a short on‑stage introduction with a small number of the Studio’s current Young Artists, providing brief insight into the musical and dramatic preparation singers undertake.

A drinks reception will open the evening at 7pm, with the performance beginning promptly at 7.30pm.

Following the performance, guests are invited to enjoy food and drinks alongside our Young Artists.
