The National Opera Studio is holding an Open Morning for singers and repetiteurs who are applying to (or considering applying to) the National Opera Studio for our 2023/24 programme and beyond.

The schedule for the day is still being confirmed. Previous Open Mornings consisted of a talk and Q&A session with Chief Executive Emily Gottlieb and senior NOS staff and coachings led by Della Jones, Andrew Greenan, Steven Maughan and Andrew Griffiths.

There will be an opportunity to speak with a member of the senior Artistic Team one-on-one, or in small groups. You’ll also have the chance to look around the Studio and observe some of our current Young Artists in vocal coaching sessions.

The Open Morning is designed to give you an idea of the training that takes place at the Studio, to have your questions answered and for you to speak with NOS staff.

Some important things to bear in mind:

  • You'll need to book your free place to attend in-person or watch online via our livestream here on our YouTube channel. A link to the livestream will be sent before the event.
  • Note that the livestream will be from the Blackburn Hall only and will include Emily's talk and Q&A and the opportunity to observe coachings.
  • Activity will begin at 10:30am, so we recommend that you arrive 15-30 minutes prior to this time.
  • There will be no opportunity to sing or play during the Open Morning.
