Renowned tenor David Butt Philip, Dame Sarah Connolly and Eric Melear, Artistic Director at the National Opera Studio, present a four-day comprehensive course designed for both postgraduate-level and professional vocalists.
This unique programme offers participants the opportunity to work closely with David, Dame Sarah, Eric, and a team of leading coaches, receiving vocal training tailored to their individual goals.
Alongside intensive coaching sessions, the course delves into essential aspects of building and sustaining a successful singing career—such as managing a demanding schedule, collaborating effectively with agents, and navigating the complexities of repertoire preparation.
A strong emphasis will also be placed on developing stamina for long performances and maintaining optimal vocal health, ensuring that participants gain a well-rounded, practical understanding of both the artistic and professional demands of a career in music.
Eligibility
This course is designed for singers who have or are looking to apply for a postgraduate-level degree or diploma in singing in opera or already have some professional singing experience.
