Front of House We are seeking a personable and practical Front of House Lead to work flexibly within a small staff team. The majority of the role will be client-facing, so the ideal candidate will be particularly good at developing effective relationships with new people. At times, the role may also require being the only member of staff in the building much of the time, so self-motivation and strong initiative are essential. Main Accountabilities To provide Front of House, Stewarding, and other Assistant services for out-of-office-hours activities, special events, external hires, or for any other instances the company requires these services; To act as out-of-hours Fire Marshal and First Aider (training will be provided) Main Responsibilities To act as Door Supervisor or Front of House staff for NOS activities or external hires as required, including managing any sign-in and sign-out sheets and doing health and safety checks; Organise parking permits as required for guest vehicles; Ensure that any incidents are reported using the NOS incident report forms; To ensure a safe, secure and pleasant environment of the NOS premises in order to promote and support the delivery of NOS activity; Make sure that doors and windows are locked when the building is not in use; Check the premises to guard against vandalism or break-ins; Be responsible for locking or ensuring the locking of the building at the end of the day; Arrange/clear chairs and tables for meetings or activities as requested by any member of staff or at the end of hire periods; Ensure that all Studio spaces remain tidy and presentable; Assist at NOS events, working Front of House or in other areas as required; Contract type: Employed part-time Reporting to: Studio and Event Manager Salary: £11.95 per hour Place of work: This position is based at the National Opera Studio, 2 Chapel Yard, London SW18 4HZ. The ability to travel and work away from the Studio from time to time may be required. Hours: Hours will include regular weekend, evening, and bank holiday work. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week. You will be required to work increased hours during busy periods in December, February, and June. Holiday pro-rata.
