We are delighted to announce the artists who will join the National Opera Studio for the 2020/21 Training Year.
Alongside the 12 Young Artists who join our Young programme, we also welcome two new Emerging Artists. As part of the National Opera Studio’s commitment and mission to increase diversity on UK opera stages, the Emerging Artist positions are provided especially for two singers from under-represented backgrounds who show significant talent and will benefit from a year of bespoke NOS training.
This year, we will also be welcoming back several of our 2019/20 Young Artists for additional coaching, which they missed out on during the lockdown, including Elizabeth Lynch who joins us as an Associate Artist for 2020/21. Elizabeth had to cut short her training with us in December, and we are delighted to be able to offer her an enhanced programme of coaching so that she can fully benefit from her NOS training.
