National Opera Studio Joins the Big Give Christmas Challenge

We’re delighted to announce that the National Opera Studio will be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. This December, we’re aiming to raise £37,500 to support our mission of providing free, world-class training to the UK’s most exceptional emerging opera singers and pianists. For one week only, donations made through the Big Give platform will be matched pound for pound.

Thangam Debbonaire to Head New Opera Sector Body

A new trade body representing the UK’s opera sector – UK Opera Association (UKOA) – launches today, bringing together an initial group of 20 opera companies to strengthen the future of opera and ensure the art form continues to thrive across the country.

We were greatly saddened to hear of the recent death of soprano Kathryn Harries from cancer. Kathryn was Director of the National Opera Studio from 2008-2017.

NOS Residency with Opera North
