We’re Taking Part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge – and Your Donation Will Be Doubled
We’re delighted to announce that the National Opera Studio will be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. From 2-9 December, we’re aiming to raise £37,500 to support our mission of providing free, world-class training to the UK’s most exceptional emerging opera singers and pianists.
For one week only, donations made through the Big Give platform will be matched pound for pound. This means that every gift, large or small, will have twice the impact, directly supporting the development of the artists who will shape the future of opera.
Why this campaign matters
Beginning a professional career in opera is an extraordinary challenge. Training is costly, and many highly talented young artists reach the end of their studies still needing further development before they can step onto the professional stage. Without accessible, specialised support at this crucial moment, outstanding potential risks going unfulfilled.
At the National Opera Studio, we bridge that gap. For almost 50 years, we have offered free, bespoke training, designed in partnership with the UK’s six leading opera companies. Alongside intensive musical, dramatic and language coaching, we support our artists’ wellbeing, personal development and living costs, ensuring that financial background is never a barrier to success.
