Nicky Spence Masterclass

Acclaimed Scottish operatic tenor, friend of the Studio and all-round brilliant person – Nicky Spence – leads a masterclass with four of our Young Artists – Inna Husieva (Soprano), Shakira Tsindos (Mezzo-soprano), Phil Clieve (Tenor) and Alexandra Chernenko (Soprano) – exploring music by Verdi, Richard Strauss, Stravinsky and Mozart. All are accompanied by this year’s repetiteurs.

Nicky is a NOS alumnus (2009/10) and a member the NOS Sounding Board – a group of professional opera artists which support our mission to prepare highly talented young artists for a modern career in today’s opera profession. Spence was nominated by the International Opera Awards for Young Singer of the Year in 2015 and was also one of ten artists included in the Times Breakthrough Award at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards celebrating the best up and coming young British talent from across the Arts industry.
