Two National Opera Studio Singers to join the Royal Opera House’s Jette Parker Young Artists Programme

We are delighted to announce that Young Artists Alexandra Lowe (soprano) and Kseniia Nikolaieva (mezzo-soprano) have secured two of the four places available on the Royal Opera House’s prestigious Jette Parker Young Artists Programme (JPYAP) for the 2020/21 Season.   Places on the JPYAP are highly sought after, and Alexandra and Kseniia were among 424 singers from over 25 countries to apply this year.

Jette Parker Young Artists are full-time salaried employees of the Royal Opera House and, during their two years on the Programme, work on productions for The Royal Opera and Royal Ballet, singing small roles and covering larger roles. They also receive coaching in all opera disciplines, working with Royal Opera and Royal Ballet music staff, a wide range of freelance music and language coaches, and visiting singers, directors and conductors.

116 JPYAP alumni have successfully completed the Programme since its inception in 2001, including many National Opera Studio trained singers and répétiteurs:
