Support Learning & Outreach Work

Beyond the Studio’s Young Artists Programme, we continue to grow our learning and outreach work:

• The NOS Academy is for UK-based 19-25 year olds who are exploring a career in opera but have encountered educational, financial, geographic or other barriers to their learning.
• Our work with Wandsworth Music and local schools brings opera to young people in the heart of our local community. Additionally, we offer freelancers and professional musicians free training in community engagement.
• Our short courses and Studio Saturdays provide specialist, industry relevant training to support artists in the opera sector. Course topics include Money & Opera, Languages Days, Life as a Repetiteur, Self-Recording and Auditions Days.
• Our Young Artists offer our community free, curated lunchtime recitals through our Wandsworth Wednesday recital series.
• We welcome NOS alums back to the Studio to perform new repertoire to local audiences in our Alum Recital series.
• The Artistic Team regularly communicates and collaborates with institutions across the UK and internationally promoting NOS opportunities to wider audiences such as conservatoire students, early-career professionals participating in similar schemes, and wider industry professionals.
