In support of the Community Outreach work of the National Opera Studio.
Away from our main programme, we are increasingly active in learning and participation, both locally and nationally. Our outreach work is designed to encourage young people from diverse backgrounds to explore the possibilities and opportunities of a career in opera. We are currently focusing on recruiting talented artists from under-represented backgrounds and those who face other barriers to a career in opera. This is a national programme aimed at creating a pipeline for singers who may join our main programme at some point.
This new fund to support our community outreach work has been set up in memory of Dianne Kelly. Dianne loved the opera, was proud to count the Royal Ballet and Opera amongst her clients as a costume maker, regularly attended singing classes and was studying for a degree in Opera Studies.
You will receive an acknowledgement from Robert Moffat, Head of Philanthropy at the National Opera Studio. Messages will be forwarded to Dianne’s family and they will be advised of the total raised.
