Bio

Alicia’s time at the Studio is generously supported by the Amar-Franses and Foster-Jenkins Trust.

Spanish répétiteur Alicia Hernández Huebra specialises in opera and vocal repertoire. She is currently completing her Artist Diploma at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD) as a répétiteur on the Opera Course, where she holds the Wolfgang Bruckner Scholarship.

She graduated from the Master’s in Piano Accompaniment at the GSMD with Distinction, where she studied with Andrew West and was awarded the Sheriff’s Prize for outstanding academic achievement. 

Alicia has accompanied masterclasses by Gerald Finley and Simon Keenlyside and worked as a studio accompanist for Yvonne Kenny. In 2023, she was appointed Répétiteur for the Teatro Real Young Artist Programme ‘Crescendo’ and, in 2025, participated in the Georg Solti Accademia for répétiteurs in Italy, working with Jonathan Papp, Anthony Legge and James Vaughan.

Recent work includes répétiteur for Le Nozze di Figaro (Berlin Opera Academy), Amahl and the Night Visitors (Teatro Real Junior), Autumn Opera Scenes (GSMD), and Owen Wingrave (GSMD). She is also frequently in demand as a collaborative pianist for recitals with singers. Upcoming engagements include Proving Up by Missy Mazzoli (GSMD) and Guildhall Opera Makers (GSMD).
