The Two Queen Elizabeths (Private Event)

6.30pm reception for 7.00pm performance, which will last around 90 minutes.

In this exclusive private event, hear recent alumni of the National Opera Studio perform music from the reigns of Elizabeth I (1558-1603) - the Elizabethan Golden Age  - and contemporary work taken from our successful project of 2018, 12:40 representing the reign of Elizabeth II.  

The Studio has been asked by the British Council to be one of the representative organisations taking part in the UK-Russia Year of Music. The year, in which there are numerous concerts and gigs featuring many different styles of music, is a designed to be a cultural olive-branch between the two nations between which, in recent years there have been political tensions.  Our visit will enable us to broaden the Studio’s horizons, for our UK-born alumni involved to make new contacts and to sing for new audiences.
