Baritone Josef Ahn (2022/23 Young Artist) returns to the Studio to share his story of his time at the Studio and his exciting journey to the Royal Opera House as one of the artists on their Jette Parker Artists Programme.

The National Opera Studio changed me as an artist.

During the 2022/23 season at the Royal Opera House, Josef performed the roles of Prince Yamadori Madama Butterfly, Angelotti Tosca, Fiorello Il Barbiere di Siviglia, The Hunter Rusalka, Segeste in the JPAP production of Handel’s Arminio, Flemish Deputy Don Carlo and Baron Duphol La traviata. This Season Ahn covers the roles of Figaro Il barbiere di Siviglia, Ping Turandot, and Count Almaviva Le nozze di Figaro.
