Spanish repetiteur Adrian Salinero recently graduated in Collaborative Piano at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. He is currently a Young Artist Repetiteur at the National Opera Studio in the 2022/23 season.
In 2015 he got accepted into the Piano Performance Bachelor’s program at Musikene, the Higher School of Music of the Basque Country, with Gustavo Díaz Jerez as his piano teacher. It was during this program that his passion for collaborating with singers started to grow. He played for the acclaimed singing teachers there and had lessons in Lieder accompaniment with Prof. Maciej Pikulski. He participated in several school productions such as Der Schauspieldirektor (Mozart) and La serva padrona (Pergolesi). This led him to move to Antwerp in Belgium in 2019 where he obtained a place on the Master’s programme in Collaborative Piano led by Prof. Jeanne-Minette Cilliers.
During his time in Antwerp he focused on developing his knowledge of vocal collaboration and was involved in very many opera productions working with such people as opera directors, Louisa Muller and Julia Mintzer. He graduated being awarded Great Distinction by the jury for his Master’s Recital in June 2022. Notable productions during his time at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp include Don Giovanni (Mozart), Orfeo ed Euridice (Glück) and Hänsel und Gretel (Humperdinck). He also played chorus rehearsals as an intern in Szenen aus Goethes (Faust) by Schumann at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen.
