Turkish soprano, Beren Kader Fidan, started to sing when she was accepted to Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory as the top student. She enriched her education by doing Erasmus exchange in Italy at Conservatorio di Musica “Licino Refice”. There, she performed Valencienne from Lehár’s Die Lustige Witwe. Before graduating as the top student, she won the 2nd prize of 20th Siemens Opera Contest in Istanbul. Beren then attended the Summer Academy of Mozarteum, Salzburg and was awarded with a full scholarship. Beren competed in the 38th Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition and won the Sedat Oztoprak Special Prize.
She advanced to the semi-final, which took place in Austria, with 58 other singers. Beren is the 3rd Prize Holder of Yalcin Davran Singing Competition and the 1st Prize Holder of 13th Young Soloist Competition which were both organised in Turkey. She performed at Bürgerfest 2019, held under the auspices of the German President Frank Walter Steinmeier,
in Bellevue Palace, Berlin. Beren also enjoys performing recitals and has done so in Turkey, Germany, Cyprus and Italy. She is currently a Young Artist of National Opera Studio, London.
