Shafali Jalota

British-American soprano Shafali Jalota has received praise for her "stunning vocal technique and poised stage presence" (Opera Today). She is a prize winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Camille Coloratura Awards, and the Bel Canto Vocal Scholarship Competition, and she was a finalist in the Bampton Classical Opera Competition. Shafali has performed internationally with companies including the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne, Opera Neo, Chautauqua Opera, and Hampstead Garden Opera. Her roles have included Susanna Le nozze di Figaro (Hampstead Garden Opera, Amalfi Coast Summer Music & Arts Festival), Romilda Serse (Opera Neo), Suor Genovieffa Suor Angelica (Random Opera Company, Halifax Summer Opera Festival), and Rose Maurrant Street Scene (Maryland Opera Studio). Shafali is a graduate of the Maryland Opera Studio and UNC Chapel Hill.
